OUR HISTORY
St. Paul's is affiliated with the United Church of Christ, a progressive Christian mainline denomination.
Saint Paul's was founded in 1868 as a Union Reformed Lutheran congregation. During the church's history, the character of the congregation has been well-defined as a community-involved family of faith where those who might not find a home elsewhere have been readily welcomed. Working hand in hand with neighbors and friends, the congregation has been a willing partner when the local school burned, hosting classes during the reconstruction. Many members were founders and are still faithful members of the local fire department, as well as the majority officers in local municipal government.
We are a church that is always ready to help others, to love our neighbor and to offer opportunities to develop relationships with Christ for both young and old. Our summer camping program has been ongoing for more than five decades, and our church school and summer bible schools have been around for over 100 years.
